best way to change apache mpm from prefork to worker

Hello,

I have a debian 6.0 with ISPmanager. What's the best way to change the mpm from prefork to worker. When its worker mpm, only php works in cgi only. So php admin values for phpmyadmin config etc, whats the best way to fix this ?

The simplest way to change mpm is deletion prefork and install worker and libapache2-mod-php5.
