I'm trying out a trial of DNSManager to see if it will work for me.
For testing, I have it installed on a bone stock, fresh install of the i386 version of FreeBSD 8.0 inside of a VMware instance. Per the docs, I updated ports via portsnap first and then fetched and installed DNSmanager via the install.sh method, accepting the defaults of it installing apache22 and using the system named. I have my trial license key for this IP address activated. The admin interface works, and I was able to login as my admin user and create a 'reseller' user. If I try and login as that created user, I can login, but it breaks as soon as I click on the 'domains' button. Browser shows the error: Code:
Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, you@example.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Code:

To confirm it was nothing I'd done wrong, I did another fresh install of FreeBSD 8.0 i386. Nothing else installed, other than allowing it to install apache22, etc via the dnsmanager install script.
Same thing - a reseller gets a core dump as soon as they try and go to the domains page. A user account gets a core dump as soon as they try and add a domain. I tried debugging with the corefile with gdb, and this appears to be where it crashed: Code:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x080b9feb in std::_Rb_tree<std::string, std::pair<std::string const, std::_List_iterator<CacheRecord*> >, std::_Select1st<std::pair<std::string const, std::_List_iterator<CacheRecord*> > >, std::less<std::string>, std::allocator<std::pair<std::string const, std::_List_iterator<CacheRecord*> > > >::find () Last edited by npaufler; 03-09-2010 at 09:47 PM. |
