Default Burstable RAM

Hi,

When setting up new OpenVZ VDSs, I don't see anywhere to set the burstable (or maximum) RAM. This is an important feature to end users, so I want to know exactly what I am providing them.

Is it done by a formula (e.g., 3x guaranteed RAM), or is there a way to set the burstable RAM that I am missing?

Thanks.

VDSmanager sets RAM limits using privvmpages (privvmpages is the burstable ram and vmguarpages are the virtual memory guaranteed ram) and defines the burstable memory assigned to your account.

Can these be set in the VDS templates so that automatically-created VDSs will have certain settings for this?

Each VPS has a guaranteed amount of RAM that it's able to use. Sometimes sites will exceed the allotted amount of guaranteed RAM available. Burstable RAM is provided to a site during times of high usage or traffic. This RAM is not in use by any VPS on a server and can be allocated to any VPS that may need it as long as it is available.
