KernelCare need on host and vm or just vm?

Hey folks,

I'm wanting to have kernel care update the kernel on my system automatically.

Does anyone know if I need it on my VM Host (Proxmox) and the VM running ISP Manager or will it do just as good a job if only installed on the VM?

I'd really like to know since Kernelcare does cost a monthly subscription.
