Default map a database and db_user to existing ISPM user

Hi,

i have moved some existing site to an isp manager server with external database server. the db_user and database have already existed before on the other server and i'd now like to assign this db user to the isp manager user - also the database.

how can i do that?

Thanks for helping!

You need move data or see "new" user in the ISPmanager menu?

If you copy data (files) to new server server you also can create database in new server (and database will be created on the external server) and upload database dump via PHPMyAdmin, for example, and change sites configuration for use new database server.

no i need to map a database (which already exists on the database server that is used by ISPM and the database user (which also already exists) to the ISPM user.

So i just need to know where this mapping is done to make ispmanager recognize a database and it's user in the system (both already exist but are not shown in isp manager).

You can't do that with ISPmanager.

hmm sorry but i can't understand. If i create a database and a database user via isp manager they are listed in isp manager and i can manage them.

so it must be possible to edit any file/database entry to assign an existing database and user to isp manager to make it manageable and more important backupable!?

You can't manage single remote database by ISPmanager.

ISPmanager can work with remote database server when all databases located on remote server, it configured in the Database servers menu.

But if you use one database with remote access you can not see it in the Databases menu.

Ok i guess this is just a communication problem.

I've setup ISP Manager including an external database server. this database server acts as database server for more than one webservers. Now i moved a web project from a non-isp manager server (which already used a database on the central database server) to a new server with isp manager on it.

it (the web project) continued to use it's old datbase on the central database server but of course isp manager doesn't know about this database as it is not created with isp manager. What i now need is to recognize it as it does it with other databases on this server which i have created with isp manager.

Hope that is understandable now - probably my english is just too bad
