Default OpenWebmail

Hi All,
I have searched the posts (and Google) and still cannot find a solution.

I am running ISPManager on a Ubuntu VPS and everything is working, but I want to use OpenWebmail instead of Squirrelmail, as I want to have calenders and notes etc... and Squirrelmail is to basic for our needs.

Now I have uninstalled Squirrelmail from the Features menu, but when I try to select to install webmail I only get Squirrelmail and no other options.

Can someone please tell me how I can get this installed, or alternatives to Squirrelmail if for some reason OpenWebmail can't be used.

From the forums there is mentions that it is supported, but I just can't seem to find it in order to install.

And one very quick question as well, our hosting provider provides Ubunuty, CentOS and Debian as OS templates, what is the best OS to run this system on from that list?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

ISPmanager use repositories of your operating system. If a webmail package is absent in the repositories ISPmanager can't install It.
Update the repositories or add a new one.

Default Update?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, I am a Windows SA so very new to Linux.
How do I update the repository, and once updated does that allow me to install OpenWebmail from the Features menu?

Also any indication as to which is the best OS to use?

Thanks

The way to update the repository depends on OS type. What type do you use?
I don't know the best OS =)) I can recommend Debian or CentOS.

to update the repository depends in Ubuntu make: apt-get update
and "apt-get upgrade" to upgrade packages.

Using CentOS is match better, cause this is fully supported OS by us.

Default Tried

Hi,
I tried the update and upgrade, but still no OpenWebmail listed in features

I will try again with CentOS if that might solve the problem do you think?

Thanks

Well, seems to there is no OpenWebmail, only Squirrelmail or roundcube
make this: apt-cache search webmail | egrep "squirrelmail|roundcube"

Default Output

Hi,
I ran that command and there is no mention of OpenWebMail.

OUTPUT
roundcube-webmail - A browser-based multilingual AJAX-powered IMAP client
squirrelmail-locales - Translations for the SquirrelMail Webmail package
roundcube - skinnable AJAX based webmail solution for IMAP servers
roundcube-core - skinnable AJAX based webmail solution for IMAP servers
roundcube-mysql - virtual package providing MySQL dependencies for RoundCube
roundcube-pgsql - virtual package providing PostgreSQL dependencies for RoundCube
roundcube-sqlite - virtual package providing sqlite dependencies for RoundCube
squirrelmail - Webmail for nuts

So only Squirrelmail and Roundcube (neither have online calender or notes).

So is there no way to get OpenWebmail installed then, or provide RoundCude with calender and notes perhaps?

Thanks for all the help here

If you want to install exactly OpenWebmail look at this documentation:
