Hi,
I have this error on my new server when I just try to send email by php: 2012-10-21 01:36:17 --- ERROR: HTTP_Exception_408 [ 408 ]: Connecting to mailserver timed out: Expected response code 220 but got code "421", with message "421 4.3.2 Connection rate limit exceeded. " ~ MODPATH/email/classes/email/core.php [ 143 ] System: Debian Port: 25 Host: mail.domain.com What should I do? I didn't have that issue on freebsd. |

Hello,
check mail server log files and user's limits for outgoing mail http://en.ispdoc.com/index.php/Email_limit |

Sorry, but I can't find that email limit configuration.
Anyway I have now little more knowledge. When I try to send few emails in a short time for example by fast refreshing page (just example) it will result in ban in access to smtp service for X minutes for everybody. I think it should block only me, not whole service for everybody. Is it possible to block only remote IP as DoS protection? Because if in my application (website), will be few users who will induce sending emails in same time it will result in ban for my all other users - i think its wrong action. |
