mail filters

Hello,

in an older thread I reported a problem with setting mail filters on big mailboxes. I got no reply, but in changelog for version ISPmanager 4.3.54 there is a note regarding this issue. I did an update to 4.3.54.2 and nothing has changed. Could you please check it once again?

Quote of my last post:

It seems that from certain size of mail directory it's impossible to set email filters via ISP manager (cca thousand mails and more). Environment is the same as before (CentOS 5.5, ISP manager 4.3.53.1, but it is the same with 4.3.52 and 4.3.51.3 on different servers).

How to reproduce:
- in 'mailboxes' select a big mailbox
- click 'change the mail filter settings...' icon
- either click 'add mail filter' icon or double click any of existing filters

The working icon then appears and never really goes away. The 'ispmgr' process starts consuming more and more memory until the server crashes.

Log reports this:
Apr 4 11:37:13 [27440] INFO Request [81.31.34.226][root] 'func=email'
Apr 4 11:37:16 [27440] INFO Request [81.31.34.226][root] 'func=email.filter&elid=info%40domain.cz'
Apr 4 11:37:16 [27440] EXTINFO Load config '/var/www/glabasnat/data/email/domain.cz/info/.procmailrc'

It is crucial to fix this issue, thanks in advance for your reply.

Hello? Anybody in there? I am getting really anoyed by this - you can reproduce this on any CentOS server with ISPmanager 4.3.51 and newer:

- in 'mailboxes' select a big mailbox (cca 1000 mails and more)
- click 'change the mail filter settings...' icon
- either click 'add mail filter' icon or double click any of existing filters

Can anybody answer?

hello
"Fixed bug that caused ISPmanager to fail while working with mailing filters. " - fixed another bug

I try test filters with big mailboxes, but don't get an error. So can you write ticket to the support and provide access to your server

Hi, I probably found a cause of this behaviour. It happens for mailboxes with plus (+) symbol in their folder's names.

(Accidentally all such mailboxes were huge in my case, I'm sorry for my previous error.)

I'll try to reproduce it

This bug isn't reproduced on my machine.
i try mail with "+", and filter with "+" - filters work perfectly

Strange. You have a folder with + in its name and mail filter is still working?

I was able to reproduce this on a number of computers.

Lorelei 08-01-2011 08:52 AM

sure. path look like "/var/www/testmail/data/email/test.mail/mail+mail/"
and all work correct.

I save data for access to the server
Be careful, don't publish it in public places

see mailbox test+test@mail.com and filter on your server

cyberpaul 08-02-2011 01:01 PM

Yes, but you tested something else. You created a mailbox with + in its name and it works. Nice.

But I created a mailbox, then logged in, created a FOLDER named "a+b" and filters don't work any more. You can test it very easily - why don't you set filters on the mailbox I created before (test@mail.com)?

cyberpaul 08-02-2011 01:03 PM

Just to be a little bit more specific - I mean IMAP folders. Like this one on my server:

/var/www/testuser/data/email/mail.com/test/.maildir/.a+b
