The file must have an extension. Please specify it.

i don't know what the extension is, is no .zip or anything else it is a plesk packed file |
What version of Plesk do you use?
All arhiv files from Plesk I have seen have .tgz extension. Try to add it. |
Plesk 8.6
with .tgz extension the following error is occurred Feb 23 16:04:04 Some error during unpacking occured. Error: /bin/tar: This does not look like a tar archive /bin/tar: Skipping to next header /bin/tar: gzip: stdout: Broken pipe /bin/cat: write error: Broken pipe Exiting with failure status due to previous errors Feb 23 16:04:04 Import ERROR (global block): Failed to find a xml file in temp directory |

Migration tool uses file's extension to determine the archiver it has to use to unpack file. So far Plesk generate files without extention the tool is unable to do the trick to raise an exception. According to the link you provided Plesk uses 'tar' archiver, so try to add '.tar' extension. I hope it will work this time. We will fix this issue in the tool in the next release.

what do you mean with next release? because the error is still there :(

Having the same issue. Client has Plesk 8.6 and import fails. Could you outline the solution on how you solved the problem?
Thanks, Manu |
