Build Apache (httpd) from sources truly

Hi, all.
I want to build apache (httpd) with my own patches in sources code.

So, i doing these ways: remove httpd (original) from Ispamanger->Applications and build new httpd from src.

BUT!

Panel don't recognize my new compiled from sources version of httpd ;(

Details:
Everywhere i use apache 2.2.x (in panel by default & in sources with my own compiling)

How i should build apache from sources for best working with panel ?

Yeah, now ispmanager see my apache, etc. But i testing all that doings on my "test-server", so if i try to remove apache and install it from sources on my main server - is it will be correct and i have saved www-domains settings, etc ?

If not correct, how i should to do new installing of apache from sources to save all my www-settings ?

You should make backups of all configuration files: apache, nginx (if there is nginx on your server) and ispmgr.conf .
