Internal Error Cannot connect to database

Hello all,

After updating mysql, databases do not show up under the tools section.

I'm on centos x64 machine. Is this a configuration (.ini) issue?

Please advise to start the troubleshooting process, thank you.

Check password, path to socket and other settings for your MySQL server in the "Server configuration->Database servers" menu.

Check Server configuration -> Database servers
You need connect MySQL server there (write root password for mysql server)
MySQL also must be running.

Actually, it had to do with the use of special character )

The program is nice, but does not use special code so that the server interprets it as )

Thanks guys.

Actually, I can't tell now.

After changing password, I don't get the error message, but the database doesn't show up.

WOW!!!! I FINALLY noticed that the program has php extensions that can be easily enabled!!! Incredible!

This problem came about due to updating to php 5.2 using these commands:

yum --disablerepo \* --enablerepo remi update mysql*
which installs php5.2 as well on a clean install of CentOS from VPS.NET.

php 5.2 is needed for me to enable some modules.

Because the server is still relatively new, can you recommend a procedure where ISPmanager functionality will not break? IF there was a install option for php 5.2 within ISPmanager, that would be much easier, please advise.

Also, how can I be notified when ISPmanager has updates available?

Thank you!!

ISPmanager independent from PHP/MySQL version and you can update CentOS from REMI Repos
