One VPS is overloading the complete server

Hi

I have a intel xeon quad core cpu and 16GB of ram. On this server I run 5 VPS with openvz. One VPS is limited to 512MB RAM guaranteed and 768MB Burstable RAM. I entered 500MHz in the CPU field and processor number 1. In the process limit and File descriptors limit fields I entered 20000.

But when this one VPS is running, the VPS generate such a high load, that the load on the hardware node is going up to 50 or even higher and also other VPS on this server are then very slow.

I thought the VPS on the server are isolated and this should now happen. What is wrong in my setup?

Thanks
Michael

Hello!

It was VDSmanager update yesterday. Do you have the latest version of VDSmanager?

Hi

Thanks for the information, I just updated to the newest version. I will check if the problem is solved now. But was this a known problem in the previous version?

What do you recommend to enter in the following fields?

process limit
File descriptors limit

Thanks
Michael
