Compiler Problem

Im trying to install psyBNC and when i type "make"
i get the error

-bash-3.1$ make
Initializing bouncer compilation[*] Running Conversion Tool for older psyBNC Data.
make: gcc: Command not found
make: *** [all] Error 127

how can i install compiler? :S

if your OS Debian:
apt-get install gcc
