Max username lenght
 

i´ve the policy "prefix in database names" ftp, mysql active.

if i create a user with a long username 15letters or more. i´can´t create a database because 1letter for the DB-Name is to much > error:the username is to long

i would be nice if the username only 8 characters in length, as with plesk, etc. then it would resolved the problem.

because many users ask me if this problem occurs, what to do

You can change username length with a mysql client. Just modify the type of field "User" (by default = 16) in the mysql.user database.
