Mailbox size
Hi,
I really would like to see an option in ISPmanager where you can set the maximun size of a mailbox. As far as i can see now there is no such option and when customers create a mailbox they can set the size to unlimmited. However, a lot of customers are using Imap and leave their mails on the server. A lot of customers now will not delete any mail untill they are running out of space. The result is that a lot of unnecessary disc space is used, backup space is used and that backups will take a unnecessary long time. So i prefer an option that the max size of a mailbox can be set. Thanks. |

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Setting a max mailbox size in ISPmanager has several advantages: - you can assign different max mailbox sizes for different presets - a customer will not see the "unlimmited sign" when he creates a mailbox, but the unlimmited sign can be replaced with the max mailbox size he can use (f.e. 50mb). - If the disc space size a customer enters in the size field exceeds the max mailbox size set in the preset he will see an error message. This all will be less confusing and customers will no longer have the idea that a mailbox has unlimmited webspace. However, if you are not willing to implement this, can you point me in the right direction how to set the maximal size of a mailbox within quota? I am not sure how to do this. Kind regards. |
