.htaccess Hidden
 

How can i make my .htacces files visible ?

I search ( google ) and the commands given there won't work.

Where do you want to see them?

In my domain folder. I've upload Joomla witch has the htaccess.txt. Because i wanted to use mod_rewrite i renamed it to .htaccess and when i wanted to do a modification in it SURPRISE, no .htaccess file, but the mod_rewrite works.

So i googled i found out that the .htaccess are one of the files that are hidden with pureftpd ( http://www.faqforge.com/linux/contro...-ubuntu-linux/ )

I tried the command there but in my pure-ftpd folder i don't have a conf/DisplayDotFiles

Alternatively, you can enable in the FTP client display hidden files (ls -la command)

Yeah ... Been using FileZilla Version 3.x (Server > Force showing hidden) ... Didn't even knew that it had this option :))
