I've been trying to study up on ISPmanager. It looks pretty good, but I have a few questions that I can't seem to find the answers to.

Does ISPmanager Pro support virtual users; i.e., accounts with the same names for different domains? For example: me@me.com and me@myself.com?
What MTA does ISPmanager use?
Does ISPmanager have spam filtering & anti-virus scanning of mail?
Can spam filtering / virus scanning be provided on a per-user basis?
Are backups/restores available on a per-site basis?
How reliable are the backups/restores?
In the Support Ticket system (Support Center), can techs/admins leave notes for one another that are not viewable by the end-user?
Can support tickets be merged in case an end-user decides to open a new ticket rather than post an update to the first ticket?
Does ISPmanager include disk space quota management on a per-domain and per-user basis?
Does ISPmanager make use of highly-customized packages (for apache, ftp, or email) that prevent easy updating?
How quick are you at issuing security updates? Example: the recent santy worm/php exploit.
Does ISPmanager provide a webmail interface for end-users?
Does ISPmanager have pre-defined web aliases for its services? Example: www.mysite.com/webmail = webmail; www.mysite.com/admin = site admin panel; etc.

That ought to do it for now. FWIW, we are currently using Ensim Pro and it's a dog. There is always something wrong with the servers. Mail is sluggish at best, backups/restores do not work at all. Ensim is slow to provide security patches. Unfortunately, we have several servers currently running Ensim Pro. So, if you've got the majority of features Ensim has, but have fewer problems, you may just get yourselves a new customer!

Thanks for your time,

One more question: What is ISPmanager Pro's expected life-cycle? Do you plan to release a new version each year? (Ex: version 1.0 to version 2.0.) More frequently? Less frequently? Would be nice know this ahead of time in order to determine which licenses to purchase.

Thanks,

Our Release Engineering independed from time. It depend from ISPmanager engine. While it satisfy the current requirements we don't change it. Current engine should allow us to improve ISPmanager several years.

Alain,

Thanks for the quick response! Your answers have gotten my attention. I tried to download a trial license yesterday, but Step 3 didn't work (all I had was a blank page that said "Step 3").

I think ISPmanager certainly looks worthy of a test drive.

Thanks again,

Follow-up:

I thought of one more question--regarding the Support Center (support tickets)--

Does each server have its own Support Center, or can you centralize them so that you only have one Support Center interface to check rather than several? (We have a dozen or more web servers and having to check that many different sites for support tickets would be cumbersome to say the least.)

Thanks,

Igor

At the moment each server has own support center.

but you don't necessary check all servers everytime.
you can configure email notification, and will have email on new ticket.
